African Hunting Dogs at the Kansas City Zoo.
There are five "puppies" that were born last summer. It is getting hard to tell them from the adults. They were rough housing and playing keep away the other day.

These are wild dogs or are they a related to the Hyena in any way? Nice behaviorals.

JavaLover, it was a crisp cool day in early March that I took these. The crowds had not returned yet so the only visitors these guys were getting were the keepers.

    Mastro, This is from Wikipedia

The African wild dog or African hunting dog, Lycaon pictus, is a carnivorous mammal of the Canidae family, found only in Africa, especially in scrub savanna and other lightly wooded areas. It is also called cape hunting dog, spotted dog, or painted wolf in English, Wildehond in Afrikaans, and Mbwa mwitu in Swahili. It is the only species in the monotypic genus, Lycaon.

    Full article here.

Thanks for the comments everyone. These dogs can get very rough even in captivity. One of the older ones has a limp from his injuries.

Heh, when I first saw the title I saw "Dog Flight" and thought, huh, that ought to be interesting. Still some fun shots though. :D
