Shot a 3 game tournament on Saturday. These are some of the better shots. The paper got the best ones.

Safe at Second

Would like a bit faster shutter speed, but I do most of my shooting from the outfield leaving a need for a lot of zoom. I'm using the Sigma 50-500 (aka bigma).

An interesting look - worth posting even without a ball

This one may be out

    Cool beans!

Hey, if the paper puts your shot online, post a link!

It's a small rural paper (i-70scout.com). It's hard enough to sell hard copies. Posting too much of the paper online would defeat that purpose.

Those are great shots. Did you try cranking up the ISO to get faster shutterspeed?

I shot at ISO 400. The at bat shots are really the only time it's a problem and the paper almost never prints them. I tend to sacrifice the quality of the batting shots for the others.

Based on pop photo's tests, the image quality on my new D300 is about the same at ISO 800 as it was on the D200 at ISO 400, so I can probably safely push it another stop. I just haven't done so yet.
