DXO Optics ClubSmug Code No Longer Valid?

I've spent the last few weeks testing I2E, DXO optics, and Lightroom - trying to decide which I want to spring for. Finally I decided on DXO. Following the link and using the coupon code from Smugmug I'm supposed to get $30 off, but the DXO site tells me the code is no longer valid.

Is that the case?

I am trying to get a hold of the correct people over there. I think my contact has left. I will let you know as soon as I do.

I hope you haven't been holding your breath! rolleyes1.gif

I'd like to see more useable discounts. I would think that SmugMug has the membership to warrant up to date discounts in a wider variety that included software, gear and shipping charges, just to name a few.

You'll be happier with IE2 from Colour science.........

I had both and kept this one.

Thanks, but I've had i2e for a few years now and I want to go with DXO for a while - assuming I can get the price break....headscratch.gif

In my comparisons (with my equipment and the way I shoot) DxO did better than i2e in most cases.

I went through the same thing...never did get an update.
"No, we can't get a discount" would have been acceptable.

Sorry Ric, for not updating this thread.

We removed it from ClubSmug a week ago.

I was PMed with a discount code that was non-exclusive to SM and available to anyone who breathed.

    Cheerio, Andy.:D

The point is, and I would like to stress it, Dgrin does not always equal SmugMug. In other words, it's always better to email Smug directly with questions that pertain directly to them. They always respond to emails, but can't always see every new thread on Dgrin - and as a result, we can't get upset by issues only raised here on the forum (especially buried here in flea market, perhaps I shoudl have moved this thread to Smug support right away ne_nau.gif).

Anyway, just a general note so we don't have disgruntled Smug customers here.

Are we reading the same thread?

Andy and Ham already responded to Paul and left him hanging.

So moving the post or posting it in the correct forum is neither here nor there...now is it.

    It's about accountability, Erik.

I've noticed that negative posts seem to get the attention....makes it hard to stay positive.

I thought we were reading the same thread, but from your response to someone else's problem, seems like you've got a bone to pick.

I was trying to make a general comment about Dgrin (let me again say: Dgrin does not equal Smugmug), but I don't need this, thanks.

So DxO is no longer offering discounts to SmugMug users? Darn!
And I was just looking to buy it too.
Any chance in getting the discount back? I can wait to buy it.

you are more than welcome to sell your software here - but I would suggest you start your own new thread, in the kitchen sink, with your price and conditions.
