Populating shopping cart through API/URLs?

Hi there. I see in a thread from a couple of years ago that we can add images to a shopping cart by using this URL:
https://www.smugmug.com/cart/?ImageID=n
but that there were no plans to support additional querystring options like quantity, print size, etc, or to make such functions available through the API. Is this still the case? I'd love to set up my own site in a way that people can click on "Buy Package", for example, and it'll bump them over to the smugmug shopping cart with several different images already there. I'm worried about confusing users as they have to click back and forth to add several images to the cart, particularly because the "Continue Browsing" button in the cart doesn't take them back to the previous site, but to my smugmug gallery.
Anyone have advice?
