Hi All

Don't post here much but had the chance to go to Spring training with my Father to see our Phillies play. This series was shot of Jimmy Rollins sliding into second. Considering the distance, I was surprised by the shots. C&C Welcome...this was just for fun
Taken with Sony a700 with 70-200mm 2.8 SSM

    ed,

nice series. But the loss of detail to cropping is still too much for me.
So while the combo did 'better than expected' I still would want to use a more appropriate focal length - preferably 400mm if shooting from the stands.

John...as always....I appreciate your comments. I too wish I had a 400mm 2.8 with me but had to deal with what I have ;-(. Maybe the wife will let me spend some money next year...I am finished already for this year with just 3 months in!!!!

The reason why I was happy to capture this was because with my old DSLR, I probably would of suffered from BF issues...this new camera appears to have great focus and faster FPS.

    Thanks again John
