It is not great compared to the newer cameras, but it did a decent job coupled up with a 300 2.8. AF is quicker than my d50, but the grain is more. It was an overcast day so I shot at ISO 400 for quicker ss. However, some of the blame on grain lies with me because I shot in manual mode as the home team was wearing dark jerseys. When I changed positions or the play took place at a different spot, the exposure changed with it, but I didn't. Also used up 3 batteries for 168 shots, and that's without looking at the LCD too much. Time for a recharge.

I like the motion blur....the noise on the pitcher kills it for me.

the last shot would be a wall hanger for any parent..even with out the face in it.:ivar

I love the last shot too, being a baseball player, because that kid is doing almost everything right. But being that I am a baseball player, I can see that he dropped his inside shoulder, and that's about to be a giant whiff!

If memory serves right, it was a pop up. I try not to include strike outs or other negative plays.

Yeah, looks like he got under it. Sometimes though, you get all of it that way and you're the hero.
