My first time shooting a Quince-era - here are some outtakes so far

The sun was terribly bright that day so we used the garage for some of the more formal shots. Lighting is a mix of ambient and FL50 (onboard) bounced off the ceiling of the garage.

    Hi Aaron,

That last one is really close to being a great shot, but I don't care for the way the white dress merges with the white background. Same thing happened in the first one. Beautiful eyes in #2. I would consider blurring the flowers in that one, or at least not sharpening them so they attract less attention.

    Regards,

Nice poses all. Just need some TLC on the processing. First 3 off color (too much magenta). Skin softening along with patch tool/healing brush will take the edge off an already nice portrait. Looks like a fun day. Thanks for sharing.

The color might be a bit magenta...but it isn't that bad, and if you fix it you will have that blue blooming over exposed white dress going purple or violet. Bounce light is great isn't it? Except for dark eyed people. Add some catchlights with a softish triangle or moonshaped brush, then try to lighten the irises with a masked curves layer. Goody job for shooting in a garage!

    Thanks for the comments everyone-

I agree skin is a tad magenta and the dress merges with the walls. I am reworking several shots along with going through the almost 500 from the event - all of these were just done quickly on Iphoto :D .

    Thanks again- thumb.gif
