Question about macro extension tubes

Hi!
While it is still Aprill the 1st I will post some serious question.
There are basicaly two types of macro extension tubes available
the first one supports meetering and as far as I understand autofocusing for those Nikon mount lense without motor.
The other version does not support meetering etc. Would I gain a lot by spending extra € on tubes which support meetering ?:scratch

Yes you can get cheap extension tubes with no electrical contacts and more expensive ones that do have electrical contacts.
It is worth getting the ones with electrical contacts not for AF but for full aperture control, plus I believe on some Nikon bodies at least, you need lens info for the flash to work in TTL mode otherwise you are stuck with manual flash. Metering is not a problem as you would normally use either aperture, shutter or full manual mode with either type.
