We don't see as many nowadays as we used to do, even this, the comon newt, but we have one in our pond for the second year of its life (last summer our frogspawn didn't survive, and the newt was accidentally introduced last summer when our daughter was fishing for tadpoles in the nearby big pond in the field to replace the lost spawn - I found it in the weeds we brought back to put the newly "borrowed" taddies cover in our pond).

We were just removing some old smelly leaves from the water when the newt re-appeared, so here it is.

Good set with the last shot being the strongest. I would have liked to have seen the whole newt in #2.

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"
