    Hello,

This is Max, the owner of BorrowLenses.com and I exchanged those e-mails with you. I am not sure what exactly you took offense to, as I was merely inquiring if there's a way to get this lens at a slightly cheaper price (a practice that's done hundreds of times a day on informal buy/sell forums like these).

If you are still interested in selling the lens to us, we will pick it up from you.

    Thanks,
    Max

I'm already giving a 10% off the lens as new and I' can't give you my blood too.
It's a fair price if not, maybe a new one for you that's hasn't been tested as a gem copy for $1945. + postage
If you still want it, the price stands.

Flash, it's you who is in the wrong here.

Max did not price police. Price policing is openly, in the thread, saying "hey, you're price is too high" or "are you crazy, I can get it for $X at....."

You owe Max an apology, he's a respected friend of SmugMug, and part of ClubSmug too. Honest as the day is long.

If you didn't like his offer, you simply had to say "no thank you" via PM and be done with it.

    Hello,

We would like to get this lens from you. Please let us know where to send the payment via paypal echeck.

Thank you. Looking forward to hearing from you.

    Mark.

But considering his first PM meant the price above was agreed on thus my frustration on his 4th letter of the lower offer
    Apologies then

    Flash,

Mark here. Our appologies for the misunderstanding. There are two people writing behind the name borrowlenses.com One is myself, Mark. I am not very involved in the day to day operations. Max is the other, who runs our business full time. I was the one who wrote the first message to you stating our interest in the lens. Max took over mid-stream and made the secondary offer (not being aware of the exact wording contents of my first message), which you considered low-ball. Max should have made clear that you are now speking to a different person under the same name when he took over.

This whole thing is a case of too many cooks in the kitchen. We will try to refrain from this tag-team communications in the future. This misunderstanding should not have happened, I am sorry if it has upset you.

Since I have agreed to take the lens off your hands for your stated price, we will honor the commitment. Let us now take this discussion out of public domain and finish the transaction.

    Mark.
