Rearranging Photos in LARGE Gallery

Hi all,

I'm working with a wedding gallery that's rather large...about 550 photos. I need to move a large block of photos 'up'. Using the arrange photos tool, I'm having two issues:

1) The control is appearing right in the middle of the page, making it hard to select groups of photos.

2) It's SLOW...almost unusable.

I've also had the (already reported) problem of rearranging not 'taking'.

I'm wondering how to move small groups of photos around in the gallery ?

If I'm in the lightbox ? (group of 15 on left, with large single image on right)
then you can "arrange" around the screen.... but only within that group of 15.

If you use the Tool -> Arrange -> Drag
then you get the entire gallery displayed,
but still can only select & move a single photo at a time.

I find this tedious...
especially when newly uploaded photos appear at the very end of a gallery,
and you need to move them toward the top.

You could use tools>arrange>arrange by number, or you could try any of the sorting options available - does that help?

Sorting doesn't work in our case, 400+ photos from 3 different cameras,
as the numbers/names might be different,
edited, different cameras, flash cards, and the dates might be different....
taken at different times, etc.

Actually - just tried the Tools -> Arrange -> Arrange Photos
and that worked ok.....
shows all the photos,
click & highlight (red) the ones you want to move,
and then move them as a group via the left side nav arrows.
