I took this shot:

highres_3647054.jpeg

And tried to have some fun with it by doing this to it:

highres_3647055.jpeg

Then I may have gone over the line but I tried this next:

What do you think?

Cool! I know exactly where that is! That building presents endless interesting photo angles. Fun patterns you made with it! thumb.gif

Thanks for the comments! So I guess it doesn't have the broad appeal I had hoped for... At least I know not to spend 4 hrs doing another one!

I really like the manipulated images. I'll call them fractals eventhough I know they aren't true fractals. The building has amazing color to it. Not knowing what the building is, is the color natural or is it enhanced in post? Dizzy

The colors of the building are all natural. I swapped out the sky to get a little different color in that corner. The building is in Seattle under the Space Needle. Thanks for the comment!

The building is called EMP (Experience Music Project) and is a museum of sorts housing all sorts of music pieces and artwork as well as banquet hall type areas.

Really interesting building type, intended to be artwork all in itself! :D

Right. While I think #2 is very cool, Frank Gehry's architecture is even cooler. I'd love to see more shots like #1. You can always apply your creative skills to more mundane objects. Just a thought.

Yeah, I think Gehry does some interesting stuff. I think the exteriors are more impressive than the interiors.

He has another building virtually in my backyard, The Vontz Molecular Studies building Cincinnati on UC's campus. The brick is showing some streaks so it's not as 'clean' looking as the MEP in Seattle.

Hi there, abstract is not appealing to everyone,
as for me, I don't often say I like the stuff, but yours I like clap.gif
I prefer the second one over the third.

    Very Artzy shot Me&MyCandi thumb.gif .... Skippy :D

Thanks everyone. Maybe I'll go back and clean it up a little... I might attempt to do the same treatment to another abstract shot of a different building. I'm glad the 'likes' have started to out weigh the 'Not for me'. rolleyes1.gif I realize it starts to move into the 'Graphic Design' realm but what the hey, boundaries are too confining!
