I was sitting at home watching TV and heard a few Engines going by near my house. I turned on my fire radio/scanner and heard that there was a house fire down the street from me. I hopped in my car and drove to the scene. Here's a writeup I did on the fire:

Fire crews fought flames, high winds, and falling debris at the William Henry Apartment Complex on King Road in Malvern, Chester County, PA.

The fire started in an upper level apartment around 9pm and quickly jumped to 2 alarms. Heavy winds fueled the flames as they tore through the complex. The roof collapsed and damage was severe through-out the building.

The fire was brought until control within hours of the first arriving units. No injuries were reported. The SPCA was called to help find shelter for now homeless animals.

The cause of the fire has not yet been determined.

And the photos I took (Time only allowed for me to edit in my sig, no other edits were done):

    Howdy Rick,

    Nice PJ Work:D

All very nicely shot, but my favorite is the last one, to me it's one of the more powerful of the series.
    Take care,

Thanks Craig! This was my first night time Fire Scene with the DSLR and I was learning as I went. I need more photos with people in action and fire in the background. But, that requires arriving on scene immediately after the dispatch!
