I know what you mean about posting large size pics here. It took me 3 weeks and a few tongue lashings by Andy and Sid before I finally got it :lol
The way I understand it, you have 2 options. Attach a pic that's smaller than 117kb (I think that's the size), or direct link to a pic that's located somewhere on the web (your homepage, your website, or a photosharing site like Smugmug). I could never attach a pic, because no matter how low I set the compression, when saving, I could never get one of my 3mb images down to 117kb
I don't know if you've seen this post, but it might help.
