    Very nice, it brings back memories of the many trips I took to Joshua Tree when I lived in So. Cal. I like the Cholla and the Ocotillo.
    See my photo's athttp://jdmphoto.smugmug.com/

    A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort.

    Nice shots. I like your portfolio too.

    In case you may be interested (and it's a good bit of practice for me), but here's what you got;

    1 - Desert Dandelion, Malacothrix glabrata

    2 - Teddybear Cholla, Opuntia bigelovii

    3 - Front to back
    Mojave Poppy, Eschsholzia glyptosperma
    Monkey Flower, Mimulus bigelovii
    Canterbury Bells, Phacelia campularia

    4 - Ocotillo or candlewood, Fouquieria splendens ss. splendens
    Surprising, not a cactus (opuntia).

    5. - Display of predominantly Desert sunflower (also Desert gold, and many other common names of the same plant), Geraea canescens.
