Search Engine Friendly URLs

Hello,
I apologize if this topic have been created. I've tried using the 'search' function but did not find anything about the SEF Urls.

Is there a way for the URLs to use the gallery name instead of the random numbers/letter?

example:
instead of http://www.rhommel.net/gallery/4643979_XVakc
can it say http://www.rhommel.net/gallery/TSC_Christmas_Party_2007

Take a look at this thread about vanity URLs - http://www.dgrin.com/showthread.php?t=86145&highlight=vanity. That will get you human-friendly urls, but I don't think it answers your search engine friendly question.

Vanity URLs use javascript redirection, so won't work for search engines. In particular, if you only use vanity URLs as entry-points to your site, then it is extremely unlikely that search engines will actually get to your photos.
