    Thanks for taking a look Elaine - much appreciated. My new Sigma lens has some nice narrow depth of focus even at f/4 where this one was shot. Focus point was on the eyelash.

    Very nice.

    Not sure of the focal length on that lens....but.... at that distance, a 50mm can give a fairly thin DOF all the way up to at least 5.6.

    Jeff - this was taken with my new Sigma 24-60mm f/2.8 at f/4. It has some nice bokeh in my minimal experience with it to this point.

    I have a 50mm f1.8 and love it for these kinds of shots as well - as you mention. Thanks for taking a look.
