From one to two sites...

Hello,

I now have one site witch is a PRO account , that i mostly use for (private) family pics. I only want to share those pics with friends and family. In the last few years i also made lots of pictures that are not family related that i would like to show to the world and probably want to sell. Since i don't find a good way to do both with one site i am thinking of getting two sites:

1. Family pics: Power Account
2. Professional site: PRO account

I collected lots of referrals in the last years. Is it possible to use my refferals from my actual site for both sites now and in the future?

Is it possible to copy the whole layout with all galleries and pics from my actual site to a second site?

There are lots of ways to make one account work for two purposes, but it does take extra time. Sharegroups, password protecting all the family galleries (with the same password, so it only has to be entered once), making use of Hide Owner settings...

If these still aren't right for you, a second account might be the best option. While you can't exactly 'share' referrals between accounts, you can use referral credits to "Gift" the first year of your second account. Check out http://www.smugmug.com/help/smugmug-affiliate-program for more info on giving the gift of SmugMug. Afterwards, your referral credits will have to function independently, as Pat Sajak says, once you buy (earn) a prize, it's yours to keep. We can't subtract referral credits from one account, and give them to another. Sorry about that.

With a second Power or Pro account, it is possible to copy your customization (just cut and paste) to the new site. While we can't copy your galleries and photos, we can MOVE them. Just send us an email to help@smugmug.com with a list of the galleries you want moved and we'll take care of the rest.
