I've set lights/assisted for a half dozen temple portrait sessions but this is my first crack at it on my own. Generally I am happy with them.

    Great job.

My pick of the litter would be #2. The lighting is great, and the DOF is perfect.

I like the 1st shot best. Keeper! The 2nd shot has good compisotion but the the darks do not have enough contrast for me.

#2.... I really like it, but wonder if the boy's face is cloned from #1?
The expression, angle and everything is the same... Incredible job on the cloning, if so.

Nope, lots of differences. It's not a clone job.

To the OP - wonderful lighting. Love the job! And, I agree, #2 is the winner!

    These are fabulous. Fabulous.

Looking at number 1, all I could think was, "These parents are going to love this image.

Very well done; you should be proud.

I like #1, nice light and feel, narrative. The others are a bit too similar, I think. The boy's feeings in #3 seem ambivalent.

Is your camera frontfocusing? It looks to me like the very sharpest places are just in front of the subject.

    Some good qualities in each.

    Thanks.
