O.K. I've ordered the D70 now. When it arrives, I'll have to learn how to use it. My experience with Nikon manuals (Coolpix series) has not been favorable :scratch.
Is there one book on the D70 which stands out ? I'd prefer something on real paper which lays flat when opened, rather than an ebook.
I'll appreciate any suggestions.

If you really want it on paper you take it to Kinkos.

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

I followed DavidTO's link and was so impressed with that "Short Courses" book I just ordered it too. (Thanks David!)

you may want to cancel that order. I've heard nothing but bad things about this book. Check out the reviews at this Amazon link.

Do you find the Thom Hogan eBook a useful addition to the owner's manual?
The manual that came with my Nikon 5700 is very difficult to use, and I was hoping for better with the D70 - which should arrive here Monday according to UPS. :
Rule of thumb is that Nikon's manuals suck. My D2H manual ain't no better than my D100 manual. I've gotten Thom's e-book for both my cameras and they are the best I've seen.
