OK, sorry if this has been asked before ...
I'm using the "Drag & Drop" method to upload some pics. Well, its taking FOREVER, maybe 10 mins per pic or more.
The resolution on them is 300 dpi, is this why it might be sooo slow. If it is, will changing it to 72dp help? If so, when people order prints will th be 72dpi quality?
If not any of the above, what can I be doing wrong. I don't remember ever taking this long.
Thanks
Nathalie

Some things that you can do, are:
1- speed test: Go here:

We are the San Jose pyramid. Please let us know what the results are.
2. You can compress your files a bit, if they are rather large? Save as, in Photoshop, at jpg10 or even jpg8.
Tell us more about your workflow, what you shoot with and how you process.
Oh and try the Simple Uploader, it's faster than the Old Java Drag & Drop: http://www.smugmug.com/help/upload-pictures
