An Azalia in the Rain

If you ever see a chappie knelt down in the rain at around 6pm in the evening, with 2 umbrellas being held by a wife and a daughter to keep him and his camera dry, you'd expect him to get something worthwhile from it wouldn't you?

This is an Azalia in the Rain.

Hard to see the sharpness of the second one due to the size of the focal point of it and with all images on the site as compressed jpgs, but you get the drift.

And so just to give a closer view of the refraction in the second, here is the cropped version.

I like the results especially under the circumstances. I am sure the refraction is a bonus. I know now why you buy so many flowers for your wife.

These are the buds on a small shrub in the front garden Bob.

    Nice light
Cool colors.... not to mention a great story of how you captured them. Just today I was looking on line for a hands free unbrella. We get alot of "Sun Showers" here in Florida....and I know I am missing some great images not wanting to get my camera wet. MM

Wish my wife would do that :)
Lovely shots Paul- well worth the setup effort- love the refractions :)

Thanks Team & Brian. I'd have preferred a closer view still, but it was impractical, seeing as the shrub was on very very wet mucky soil...
