I want to see what programs you guys like to use for creating and adding your watermarks to your images?

I have been using iwatermark, but I am limited to what I can do.

Any other suggestions?

Thanks
Jim

Photoshop. And let smugmug apply your watermark.

For photos I am posting somewhere other than Smugmug I use "Visual Watermark", it's flexible, fast and inexpensive. (I do not work for them I just like their software.)

Otherwise I do like scwalter said.

Do you guys add a watermark, like a signature to your photos before you upload. I can see using Smug to add to the galleries on my web site so people do not steal the image from the site. What I am asking is more about in my galleries when I shoot a show and have 1,000+ images and then the competitors come to my site to purchase. I would like something to appear in the bottom of the image with "photo by" like a signature. ( I guess I call this also a watermark).

Any suggestions or info on what you all use?

Jim, it looks like you have a pro account. The simplest thing to do is use the watermark feature of your pro account. Simply upload whatever you want to use, whether that is a signature, text or graphic, and they will be automatically added. Even better, the watermark does not show when a photo is order for a print.

see the tutorial referenced above. When i use a watermark, I use a embossed text photoshop action..just google it.

Sorry, I misunderstood your request, you want something that actually shows on the print, which smugmug watermarks will not do. Personally, I don't do this, so I cannot recommend any software, but what I do is include some text on the backprinting to show that it is my picture.

    Thanks guys,

I do have backprinting on all photos that get sent from Smug. I will create a custom watermark for use on gallerie images. I also want a watermark that prints on the photo for my Bodybuilding images at the shows. I guess I will use PS3 for this also.

I use Watermark Master - not only for adding watermarks to images, but also to videos. Good package for editing video and graphical content.

I use Photoshop Elements 6. They have a great forum that will walk you through it.
