Two of my shots will be KPotD in April.
After the Blizzard (7 April)
Sophie (9 April)
I've lost the "stories" I wrote when I submitted, but I guess I'll be able to read them on 7th and 9th. I stronly suspect they will follow the formula I suggested to Ginger, basically, "I had so much fun taking this picture. Taking pictures is great and make me feel great". We'll see if I was any more creative than that.
As it turns out I'm actually going to be in NYC on the 7th, amazingly enough.
The email that I got was interesting. It shows that more goes into picking and scheduling these pictures than just the merits of the individual shots. Here is the acual message:

Dear John,
I'm one of editors for Kodak's Picture of the Day -- and I'm
writing to say Congratulations x 2!
"After the Blizzard" and "Sophie" have both been accepted
for Picture of the Day and will appear on the Home Page of
kodak.com, and every few minutes on the Kodak Times
Square Gallery in New York City.
"After the Blizzard" will appear April 7, 2005 -- and "Sophie"
will appear on April 9th.
It's just the way it worked out this month, and my wanting to
schedule the last of these great Winter pictures.
Be sure to tell your friends and family, and I hope you will keep
submitting your pictures!
Best regards,
