    Superb shot- wonderful light, colour and composition.
    Are they on a Paeony bud ?
    Red ants in my garden congragate on cornflower buds- I eventually noticed that the buds do leak little drops of sap which the ants were feeding on.

    I will certainly check my Paeony plants as they are certianly well into bud.
