Great shot. I like it a lot. Did you use Photomatix? What type of Photoshop work was done as well, if any?

    Thanks for your comments guys!

I have seen so many great HDR manipulations here that I've decided to try to learn the stuff myself. With these shots I planned to put a touch of "other planet" feel into them.

    PAFirefighter11:

The tools/methods I used (in sequence):
    1. Canon20D RAW, three shots -2 EV, 0 EV, +2EV, Av mode, timer drive, on tripod.
    2. Lightroom, white balance, contrast curve, presence and vibrance upped, some other "normal stuff".
    3. Photomatix, tinkering.
    4. PS Elements, cropping, hue/saturation, removal of dust bunnies.

Another one from the same session - with a set "Muench stars":

Very nice indeed man. I'd take the luminance down a touch in photomatix, it's a tad high key for my taste. But... well executed and cannot complain. thumb.gif

Where you referring to mine and that other dgrinner's recent HDR's?

I like the second shot best though both have good composition for me. Wondering about the blue but maybe thats what helps spank the image
    into outerland. :D
