Last week I was in South Carolina. Normally, I would had been happy to go back to SC but this time it was for a funeral.

After the service, I was going to go to Toledo for work so I packed my camera equipment. During my stay I was informed I wouldn't need to make the trip.

With a couple of extra hours before our flight, my father and I decided to go out for a few photos and take our minds off of things for awhile.

Excuse my total ignorance but what kind of trees are those in the first picture. Very cool twisting, bending and drooping features these trees have.

Thank you for the share, nice series of shots.

Wonderful photos! I love Charleston. Sorry that you had to go for that reason, though. I was there this past weekend for the bridge run - beautiful city!

Adam, i'm sorry the reason for your visit but you make Charleston look absolutely sserene and beautiful. At the same time I can almost sense the solemn emotion in the sunrises and landscapes.

Gorgeous shots of the critters as well. thumb.gifthumb

That was my thought as well. The place isn't quite the same now.

Nice set of pics by the way.

Thank you everyone for the comments and condolences.

I thought about Ginger quite a bit while I was down there. We had e-mailed each other a few times about places and locations but never hooked up to go shooting. She was a kind and talented photographer!!
