Pic of a lion at Berg en Dal at Kruger National Park in South Africa taken on recent trip over there. It was about 5.30am and he was just sitting under a tree on his own at the side of the road. Used a D70s with a 300mm Nikkor V.R. lense. Wish I'd had my new D300 with the pro lenses I've bought since getting back. Have sold this image twice already so very grateful to Mr. Lion.

A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort.

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

Wow ... I thought the title said "Lion at Kroger" !!!! Now that would have been something. Of course you have to be from the US to understand. (Kroger is a grocery store chain, primarily in the eastern United States)

Shopping carts and folks scattered everywhere! Lion clean-up on aisles 3, 4, 5 and .... nevermind

Great capture Joburg and welcome to DGrins

Handsome portrait. At 5:30am I am not sure I would be able to hold a camera. rolleyes1.gif

    Hi Harry,

I'm getting the hang of it and there's no doubt my pictures are going to be improved as a result of buying it. Do find it has a lot of buttons which I keep accidently activating but I'm sure I'll get used to that.
My first lens arrived the 17-55 f2.8, yesterday so I'm looking forward to shooting with this new combo. I'm keeping the D70 as a spare camera for my 300mm telephoto.
    Cheers,
    Chris
