Hi all,

Been with smugmug for a couple of years now and I've been reading these forums for quite a while so I thought I should show myself, or at least some of my pics.

These were all taken last weekend, had to get up at 4.30am (yes AM! :huh) and drove for over an hour to get to this freezing cold beach. Anyway, enough moaning. Any honest CC positive or negative is greatly appreciated.

All taken with D200 and Sigma 10-20 with Hitech ND Grads.

Hope that's not too many pics for my first pic post :D

Love looking at this forum as there's so many great pics and good comments.

Cheers
Ian

Ian, you got the right idea! thumb.gif

You've got some great work here to debut posting! Great light, color, pop, everything. I always think getting up at ungodly hours to catch the right shot is worth all the unpleasantness of sleep deprivation.

Hope to see more from you!

Well done, I really like the first 3. Nice color and composition.clap.gif

A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort.

I dig #1 the most. Interesting foreground leads to a nice sky. Well done. Welcome to Dgrin thumb.gif

I like the first and third and the second if cropped to the bottom third and from the left. It looks like a something coming up out of the ground with a smirk and big eyes!

    Thanks
Thanks for the comments guys. Much appreciated. Yeah Don, I thought that rock had a sort of Jurassic look to it too, like an ancient alligator waiting for some unsuspecting half asleep photographer to wander near eek7.gif

Wow -- they are all great clap.gif

They say the early bird catches the worm and I see that the early morning photography most certainly catches the photos.
