It's the start of the Sprint Kayaking regatta season in the UK. With olympic qualifications coming up the April regatta was unusually well attended by all potential British team members. Here are a few pics.

Tim Brabants is the current World champion and one of UK's great hopes for an olympic medal

The regatta caters for all ages. It is a fantastic opportunity for youngsters to rub shoulders with world class athletes.

There are also veteran races. The oldies are not so good at dealing with the cross winds, and a few were tipped over.

The senior ladies had all come back from a few weeks warm weather training in Seville, and were keen to impress.

The start of a sprint race is explosive, and particularly so for K2 and K4 boats.

Hope you enjoyed these.
