Flash Batteries - 2500mah

I shoot nightclub photography with various Nikon camera bodies, I either use a Nikon SB-600 or a Nikon SB-800, and after about an hour, the batteries I use are either burning hot. I currently use eneloop 2500mah rechargeable batteries, but hopefully people on dgrin have some suggestions for battery brands they have had luck with. I have tried Lithium 7x non re-chargeables and it appears they get real hot to the touch after about an hour.
Any suggestions
thanks

I have heard that the modern 2000 mAh batteries have better dissipation properties under heavy load because they don't have the thinner layers required by the higher density batteries.
Otherwise, I agree with SBZ about using an external battery.

If I use 1/2 power (which I do for most of my set shooting), it recycles almost immediately forever...same experience on auto mode with the neat-o Sunpak thyristor circuit.
I use my Quantum when I need to run a marathon - slow and steady for hours on end with reliable and repeatable recycle times.
