Was painting at the "in-laws" when it rained...

...but luckily, as luck would have it I was doing the painting in the garage not outside in the garden. You see we are building a new front porch for the house, cos it's cheaper than hiring a cowboy.
But because it rained, the garden flora began to glow, and in particular this yellow tulip, so me being geared up with the camera bag for any such eventuality, I nipped indoors and got the trusty 400D out and framed this up.
Strangely, the rain fell for maybe 1 or 2 minutes and then stopped and the sun came out again. Still, it was enough to add a few drops to the flower head.
Framed in PS, and also an HDR of 3 exposures at 1 stop under and one stop over with selective sharpening on the central raindrops via a high pass filter.
