Hi,
I've recently checked my galleries for the first time in a few months (sorry !) and none of them are displaying the photos. Also, I can see the slideshow button but it has no action and the bottom left corner of my IE pane reports errors (7, details of first and last below).

It's a straightforward config I have, any ideas what's changed and how to fix the problem ? All was fine when I last checked the galleries (a few months ago).

In case it's related to the introduction of the slideshow, here are the answers to the questions asked in that thread.
1) Flash player version = WIN9,0,115,0
2) IE7 (7.0.5730.11) on Windows XP Pro, SP 2
3) http://steve-anne.smugmug.com/gallery/2060026_54dsx
4), 5) and 6) - Yes, can see them all fine
7) N/A

And here are some of the details of the errors I could get out of IE (apologies for any typos) :-
IE error 1 of 7
Line: 190
Char: 9
Error: 'SM.SmugMug.config' is null or not an object
Code: 0
URL: http://steve-anne.smugmug.com/gallery/3809989_Yti6i

IE error 7 of 7
Line: 415
Char: 13
Error: 'YE' is undefined
Code: 0
URL : http://steve-anne.smugmug.com/gallery/3213071_S3xnX

Cheers, Steve:rolleyes

    Andy,
no joy - still no photos visible in the galleries (... although I didn't check every one).

N.B I'm assuming that the inability to use the slideshow button is because no pictures are shown and that the button will work once the gallery problem is resolved.
    Thanks, Steve:cry

Are you at work? Behind a firewall or other security? Do you have javascript enabled in your browser? What browser and version are you using?

can you do this javascript test?

How about steps 1-7 here, for the slideshow issue:

Thanks, report in that thread regarding slideshow.

    Andy,
I'm working from home but am behind a firewall and have normal security measures (e.g. Norton Anti Virus) none of which have been a problem in the past. I get the 'passed' display on the javascript test, details about the browser and version were provided in the initial post for this thread but are IE7 (7.0.5730.11) on Windows XP Pro (SP 2)

Slideshow show issue tests all seemed ok (answers to that also in the initial post for this thread) but once we've got past this problem I'll re-raise in the other thread.

I do have some additional info though. I have just installed Safari on my laptop and the galleries display okay there. Also, I've just tried from another PC on my homw network and that seems fine as well. It suggests to me that the IE7 installation on my laptop has got itself 'screwed'. I'll try removing my IE add-ons one by one and/or re-install IE to see if that corrects the problem. I'll let you know the outcome in case it was a particular add-on.

Yes, the IE Addons, one by one, you can also delete the Flash ActiveX control completely, and try reinstalling it from Adobe's site (it's free, and easy to get).

    Andy,
not sure what caused my problem but re-installing IE7 has fixed it. Slideshow works fine as well now.
    Thanks, Steve thumb.gif
