Thanks for the heads up - I am absolutely amazed that that rock remains vertical. Are there no vandals in Wisconsin at all?? Truly amazing.
I find I am more likely to be entertained by spontaneous or handmade signs, than I am by commercial signs - usually. I will link a few that I found in my catalog that I have collected over the years
Somewhere in the Rockies
Why one always needs to carry a camera with them, as advised by Jay Maisel. I wonder if the alteration in the message was due to a change of heart in the writer, or if someone else came along and edited the graffiti.
But some highway signs can be funny, too!!
And then there are the Captain Obvious signs we all find from time to time
But Captain Obvious signs apparently really are necessary
Pegelli - your 1st sign reminded me in appearance of the Seilebost road sign of the Isle of Harris. - I thought at first they might be closer together than the 95 miles Google maps tells me they are from each other. But anyway, we have both traipsed in the Isles a bit, at least.
One of the least informative (yet weird) signs posted at the Lawrenceville-Vincennes Airport where we viewed and shot the entire sequence of the 2024 Total Solar Eclipse.

David, that looks pretty foggy for viewing a solar eclipse. You should have contacted me - we photographed the eclipse from my backyard with modest success with over 3 minutes of totality . Just a bit further south, in Indiana, you might find a sign like this

No! Illinois has absolutely no confusing signs whatsoever!
This was at Balanced Rock (obviously) at Devils Lake in Baraboo, Wisconsin. The trail of dangerous boulders to get even this far was challenging. Balanced Rock was eventually located:

Oh, that was many hours prior. We arrived at the airport very early in the a.m. It was totally clear by 11am. Everything went great and we had perfect weather and sky throughout the eclipse. https://www.davidwattsphotography.com/Other/Total-Solar-Eclipse-2024
