So I'm about to take the plunge and invest fully into this design business.

I'm hoping to design websites for churches, so that they can 1)keep the internet generation in the seats and 2)post photos/videos/audio on a regular basis. Since I just won my first contract I figured it was time to settle on a design for my own stinking website...

Name (also on the chopping block): BlueXFish. X for Chi, the almost ubiquitus symbol for Christ in the christian world (yes, it even predates the 'cross'). What's everyone think of the idea and the design (low res) below?

Thanks!

Assuming you only want to do church's, it's probably fine. But, I know I personally stay away from businesses that advertise a religious affiliation.

    Dr, why is that?

Either way, it's focused on churches and non-profits. I work for them already, might as well make a living doing it...

I think it is too tall. Also your fish looks like an arrow (a bit) so why not shrink the fish a bit and point to the title "BlueXFish".

    my 2 cents.

You have a great idea. If your partial symbol is the fish that has been used for thousands of years. Why not use the whole symbol so it can be recognized for what it is? It may be too much of a stretch for even clients in the ministry.

I like it. When I read it fast, I missed the X and just thought it said bluefish.

How about blueXfish.com for easier reading?

Also, suggest you reserve the web address before you print the cards. www.bluexfish.com is available........

I think the half fish works, but the current font does not work with the style of the fish. I would switch to a sans serif font that has the same sleek lines as the fish.
