Phoenix South Mountain
It's been a hectic 3 months, barely picked up my camera at all. So, this day I dropped the kids at school and went for a hike. No time constraints, no goal other then to make it to the top and see what I see.
1. The beginning of the trail
2. The desert in bloom
3.
4.
5.
6. Petriglyphs, in my own backyard, who knew?
7.
8. Thought I was done, made it to the top of the trail but then saw a little house, so up I went.
9.
10. Met a friend on the way up, a Cactus Wren (my daughter was impressed I actually got a photo of him).
11. Made it!
Thanks for looking.

The house was very interesting. It actually looks like it is pointing at something or somewhere. Or maybe it was just the way you took the photo.

The trail is on the back side (Ahwatukee side). I'm not exactly sure what streets. I take Chandler to where it and Ray come together, go west, then turn at the corner where the gas station is with McDonald's on the opposite corner, go past the elementary and middle schools around the curve and there's a parking lot on the right. Is that clear as mud? I'll try to get a map link.
