Printing resolution

I am thinking about joining Smug Mug for organizing and backing up my photos. I have one question that I need answered before I take the plunge. It says power users have 12MB for photos but at the bottom says something about 48 megapixels. I need to know if I can upload quality pictures and be able to print them out or have them printed at 300 ppi.

welcome you sure can.

48 megapixels is file dimensions. Pixels wide by pixels high.

You can upload your camera's jpgs and get outstanding prints. Don' upres or otherwise change the files, it's not needed.
