Interesting caterpillar

Haven't done any macro for ages, but I got given this caterpillar yesterday and thought I'd share his pics with you.

    What an amazingly odd caterpillar- gotot be a voodoo caterpillar with that face but vey odd yellow saddle and amazing colour pattern on the rear.

    Hi there BigAl .... what a cool looking caterpillar you have there.
    Love the patterns on the back, especially at the tail end.

    Nature is a wonderful thing isn't it, the camouflage some insects and bugs use is just amazing.

    It's head looks like a skull is painted on it, very impressive.

    Great background with the leaves.... nicely captured clap.gif ... Skippy :D

    Thanks Brian! It is a really odd caterpillar. I'd love to know what it ends up as, but prolly never will now as I released it in my garden.

    Thanks Skippy! I only saw the skull when I was processing the pics, otherwise I would have tried to get a couple of decent pics of it.
