OK went out to a very wet New Forest today, got a few new critters to add to my shot list

We start with everybodies favourites, hiding under a bush from the rain, this was shot from the car as I was also hiding from the rain

I think this maybe a Green Finch

Don't have a clue what these two are in the next two pictures

A Robin

Me sir, no I never destroy the vegitations..................

...........he was ably assisted by his mate

Both New Forest Ponies look a little bedraggled due to a heavy down pour minutes beofre.

The yellow flowers they are eating are very prickly gorse bushes

Comments welcome, thanks for looking

Tim

don't know what equip you use but
since your light was pretty bad, a
higher ISO or larger f stop would help achieve
a higher shutter speed to stop the motion which is
    showing in your critter shots.

The Horse shots however are right ON ! thumb.gif

Thanks for the comments, the lense was a 70 - 300mm Canon USM IS, I set the ISO at 400 and the f stop was on f4 (max for lense). Problem with the birds were they were at the maximum distance from the lense and hardly stopped moving. I have some slightly clearer ones of the guys on the floor when they were in a tree but in each picture there is a branch cutting across the bird.

You're right about the green finch and the next two show a male chaffinch thumb.gif

The chaffinches arrived up here a few days ago and are currently engaged in singing up every other tree iloveyou.gif
    Creativity's hard.
