I was expecting to see at least one Herbie. There is a guy that has a perfect example of one here in Phoenix which I have seen on several occasions. not sure why he wasn't at the show.
I do not drive a bug- in fact I have never owned one. I always preferred things with a bit more power- muscle cars- sports cars- and 4x4's.
I like them and could see myself building one of the following at some point.
1. Notch Back- the cannon on the window is an air-conditioning unit
2. A micro bus- would make for a good photography vehicle

I see you were at the 'Bug-O-Rama'? I really liked the first picture; made the cute bug look 'bad'.
My son went there yesterday. I showed him your photos...He and a friend had to get parts for his friend's bug. They were parked just behind one of the bugs in your photo. I couldn't find the photos on your site though.

Yeap - took my little guy to the Bug-O-Rama. I still need to upload his shots (he is doing quite well at this)- hopefully tonight.
One of him in action with Smuggy's cousins
