    I think what Fish is trying to say, is that the idea behind the shot is very nice, but execution is not so good. To pull this one off, there should probably be a little less light in the surrounding candles, and a bit more in the candle you want to stand out. Next to that, it seems the shot suffers from camera shake.... :)

    Guys, guys. I'm a confirmed aetheist, and also pretty critical (pathfinder had discribed me as prickley). But I like this shot. It communicates well how Ginger feels about prayer and about lighting these candles. She has broken some rules here; she knew it; my vote is that in this case it worked

    Whether it suffers from camera shake or blown spots is an objective thing. Whether it works is a matter of taste.
    If not now, when?
