It arrived today and only had a few minutes to play. Next, I'll dive into LordV's tutorials. I also need to clean my sensor. Macro REALLY highlights all the crud!

Your off to a fine start, this shot is really sharp.
Your not wrong about being able to see all the crud if you don't clean your sensor before you start doing Macro shots.
It's amazing what shows up on your sensor isn't it

It's a purple prickly pear cactus. I tried to get some images of the yellow flowers, but the full sun just washed everything out. I found the flower buds more interesting (and easier to work with.)
