Nice find Rod the first two are my choice of the four shots.
Those front on and profile shots are always more appealing.

Front-on & profile are what I aim for. Kind of, anyway Unfortunately, these hoverflies were facing 'into' the tree and I had no chance of getting the face-on shots. I waited for what seemed like ages for these to settle but a late shift at work was looming and I had to go. The first fly shot was a pleasing surprise as I thought I'd missed it.
