Hi all!

these two new lenses seem to be pretty neck-and-neck in IQ from what I can read. I would also like to use the lens as my portrait lens (of course until I build up a full array of lenses). I am leaning towards the Sigma for the longer focal length for both macro and portraiture reasons. I am shooting a D70s, and the next camera will be a D300 sometime in the far future.

Any folks out there can give me reasons to choose one over the other? Any lens-technorati who can help decypher the nitty-gritty in the specs? Money is not really an issue as I'll save up and pay for quality. In the end I want a great auto-focus macro that can do really good portraits, too. FWIW the portraiture work will be neither for-pay nor fast-paced. Both lenses review well online.

Nikkor 60mm vs Sigma 70 mm

D70s
Nikkor 50mm 1.8
Nikkor 18-200 VR 3.5-5.6
Nikkor 18-70 3.5-4.5

Many thanks!
