Off what? In what? the contrast is so poor with the image underexposed, I can't tell what we're looking at? Is that stone?headscratch.gif

    Don

I think you're not seeing what you think you're looking at.

I like the ambiguity of the title...because it could be so many things! A little more contrast would be nice though. Is it mold? wasp nest close-up? Ant hill?

Like I said, too dark. It could be a Large Puffball fungi for all I can tell here. Or a Paper wasps nest. headscratch.gif but would like to see it a bit better!

I see what looks like a skull in the middle. Is this the true focal point of the image? :)

    wfeller-

I can see several faces in this formation so I think that part of it is pretty cool.

I have to agree with DonRicklin on the photo being too dark. I have noticed this with several of the photos you have posted in the past few weeks. You should make some adjustments in how you post process. This photo needs to brightened up a bit and then increase the contrast so you can get some more depth and detail.

I am at work otherwise I would provide an example- maybe someone else can do that.

Cool idea - just needs a little more work. thumb.gif

Now that a scull has been mentioned, I can see what looks like that. Up my ally for images, so I'm surprised I missed that. Still needs work, especially if that is the 'subject' of the image. (Which I doubt, given the title.)
