Many people like each of these lenses. I suspect you will find that the Nikkor 80-200mm, f/2.8 ED AF-D is a bit better than the Sigma 70-200mm, f/2.8 EX DG APO Macro HSM when used wide open. Stopped down, they are both great lenses.

I would recommend the Nikkor 80-200mm, f/2.8 ED AF-D.
