Very nice photo. My feeling is the gate is down and the prairie is open for all with nothing held inside nor kept out.

It's not HDR. I use a 3 stop Lee Graduated Neutral Density Filter.

Super! Just love the thoughts that run through my mind as I view it. Nice lines and composition. The gate looks huge as it rests on the ground. The open prairie and sky seem to suggest freedom to me, with the gate having been conquered!
