I was going to title this Why did I buy this lens and the reasons not to keep it.
1. I will not get any work done around the house :D
2. I will wake up thinking where can I take this new "toy" and take pictures
3. I will now be able to take shots at 300 mm without a tripod.

but...

All I can say is wow! I only took a handful of shots last night and below is one of them. Check out the detail of the bee. This is 300mm hand held (VR on). My wife noticed the difference immediately in the images she saw.

:barb :thumb I wanted to post this shot... It is not my best but...

Link to a few other shots

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

I just received mine in the mail yesterday. I ordered it from Cameta Camera off eBay for about 415$ (factory demo)....I love it. It is my first experience with VR Lenses, and I have a question that the booklet cannot answer, because I misplaced it! :) What is the "Active-Normal" toggle switch on the lense itself?

I am so jealous, what a steal! I am dying to get this lens and now seeing how much you are loving it is a little extra push to get it!

Glad you are loving your new lens, I'm so jealous.

Here are some test shots I just took today...well it's raining and...well...weird outside. So it was a challenge to get these (I'm a real freakin' amature dude headscratch.gif)

Straight from the Camera BTW, just resized.
