These fast little movers are difficult to get, but I was lucky in that this one paused for a few miliseconds while it pondered which peanut to grab. These are the Texas variety of the Tufted Titmouse.

Nice ones Stephen. We have them here and you are right ... they are skittish little guys and gals.

I like the first one the best

These shots have everything going for them...great subject...super perch...lovely background. There is a slight blur though...when these guys are sitting still they are still moving! rolleyes1.gif

ISO 400 might have made the shutter fast enough.ne_nau.gif

I agree on the slight blur. The higher ISO would have only made my shot brighter since I was in full manual. I needed to have just a bit more time to set my settings, take a few shots, see what works and recompose. I didn't have time. These guys are so quick! Thanks for the comments though. Much appreciated.

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

PM if you want all the info. It's a great place Jeff. I even got my target bird which was the Golden Cheeked Warbler. I couldn't get one of those clear singing shots of the male, but I did get a bunch of the GCW foraging through the junipers and oaks.
