Found these after work on Saturday. The flower attracted me, and then I found a bonus Spider. This flower was really small, and the only one around. MM

Strange thing the white flower with the Spider is coming from the same stem as the unopened buds. One stem branched off into three the one facing east (the white one) had opened the other two where is appeared at different stages. MM

    The flower is.....
The flower is a Milkweed. The genus is Asclepias and it is a fairly common wildflower in the southeast. If I had to guess, I would say that it is Asclepias incarnata. but not seeing the plant and the habitat that is only a swag. (scientific wild assed guess)

This is a flower that is the same Genus, but a different species.

You are correct with your guess Asclepias fascicularis is what Wikipedia called it. I know nothing about plants except the ones I eat. It is nice to have a name for it though. Thanks again MM
